How to Make Simple Quilling Paper Hearts for Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is around the corner. We are all busy looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for our loved ones. Here’s a DIY Valentine’s gift idea you and your friends can make together: Simple quilling paper hearts.
These quilled hearts can be used to make a Valentine’s Day card or hung on your bedroom wall as decor. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make quilling paper hearts using Kokuyo Camlin’s drawing and painting materials.

What You Will Need?

Start once you have all the things required for this DIY project in one place.

How to Make Quilling Paper Hearts?

1. Use a stationery knife to cut the inner heart out. Be careful when using the knife.
2. You can use a toothpick to quill the paper strips by watching a video tutorial on how to do so. To add dimension and a creative touch, you can experiment with the size of the quilled hearts.
3. Once you are done quilling, place all the quilled paper hearts inside the bigger heart and glue them onto the cardboard paper using Camlin White Glue. You will place the cardboard below the heart.
4. To ensure that the heart isn’t broken in places, apply Camlin White Glue between the spirals and at the point of contact between the cardboard frame and the spirals. Gently remove any excess glue with a paper towel.
5. All the empty spaces between each spiral should be filled, to make the heart look even more exquisite. Make smaller spirals and glue them into the tinier spaces between the bigger spirals to cover all areas.
6. Once the glue dries, you can start adding the finishing touches. Use a thin gold ribbon to create a loop to hang it and tie it around the cardboard. Paint the cardboard part with Camel Acrylic Colour in white to highlight the pink spirals.
7. Once the paint dries, your quilling paper heart for Valentine’s is ready. Gift it to a loved one or hang it in your own home.
