Purple Invokes these Feelings
Your choice of colours can affect how someone views your art. Here are 3 feelings that the colour purple can evoke.
The feeling of mystery and wonder may come from the fact that we rarely see purple in nature in large quantities. So when we artworks that are largely purple, especially landscapes or skies, they almost seem magical.
At one point in history, being a rare and expensive pigment to produce, purple was only flaunted by the affluent. That reputation still lingers to this day and purple is a colour that feels royal and luxurious to the eyes.
